Huskies Fall to Kutztown

HAMPTON, VA--The Bloomsburg University baseball team lost to Kutztown, 12-5, on Sunday night in the final game of the Builders Invitational in Hampton, VA.

Bloomsburg trailed 5-0 after one inning, but came back with two runs on a bases loaded walk to Carlos Medina (Lititz/Manheim Central) and an RBI ground out by Anthony Forman (Richboro/Council Rock South). After the Golden Bears got a run back in the bottom of the second, the Huskies scored twice in the top of the third without the benefit of a hit. Tony Donofry (Newtown/Council Rock North) and Kevin Ward (Upper Darby/Msgn. Bonner) each scored after errors by Kutztown.

Kutztown put the game out of reach with five runs in the bottom of the third to take an 11-4 lead. In the sixth, the Huskies made it 11-5 when Matt Allen (Williamsport/South Williamsport) scored on a single by Donofry.
